I sometimes feel that I’m being a little patronising when I stress things such as the importance of attention to detail when it comes to presenting yourself well as a candidate. The importance of neatness, thoroughness, tenacity, politeness and the multitude of other skills you need to use if you want to get that job should be second nature, shouldn’t they?
