How to Use Assessment Tests
The use of properly chosen assessment tests can be an invaluable aid as an additional voice in the screening and selection process. Assessment tests can present a problem, however, if hiring managers choose to focus too narrowly on one set of criteria and do not view assessment tests in the context of the full picture of the candidate’s skill, experience, motivations, desire to improve, and desire to learn.
