30 Percent or More Disabled Program: Program that makes some disabled veterans eligible to be directly hired into some federal jobs without competing against other applicants.
Appointment: A federal job. Each federal job is filled either through a competitive appointment or noncompetitive appointment.
Basic Qualifications/Minimum Qualifications: The criteria that applicants must meet to be seriously considered for the job. Applications that don’t meet these qualifications are rejected.
