Manage performance

Most corporate performance management systems do not manage performance, they track performance. Tracking performance is important and necessary, but it does not help you develop a high-performing team. You should defer to your corporate tracking systems and fill in all the MBO, KPI and annual assessment forms as required. If nothing else, when it comes to pay, bonus and promotion time, these are the essential documents that will make your case for you.
