It goes without saying that before you can make a film you have to come up with a good idea and then an even better script! It's amazing how many animators spend inordinate amounts of time working on their projects but fail to entertain or inform their audience because the idea or storyline is so dreadful. Sometimes the reverse is true, of course—the idea is wonderful but the execution is awful, and that is more tolerable for the audience. However, hopefully you can rise above and succeed in both—story and execution!
