CHAPTER 4 Mashup Theory

 

 

I promised you we weren’t going to get into ridiculous amounts of musical theory, as there’s so much theory that won’t apply to creating mashups. So, I’ll share with you just what you need to make sure yours sound great. The main areas we’ll cover are key and tempo.

KEY

The two (or more) tracks you’re mashing need to be musically cohesive. Nothing worse than an out of key mashup in my honest opinion.
