Program Closure

Some programs have end points in mind at their start; some are expected to close at some point but are initiated with no defined deadline; and still others are initiated as open-ended efforts that could go on indefinitely. In many ways, programs are similar to partnerships in their range of durations—all the way from partnerships based on a single contract to arrangements expected to be permanent. Like partnerships, however, even programs that might go on forever need a process for closure and termination.
