In this section we will talk about anchors. Before we get into exploring how to use them, I want to explain why we are looking at them.
Anchors are a way of making you feel good in the moment, a way of quickly shifting your emotions so you can feel excited, confident and positive at the flick of a switch.
This is very useful and can be done very discreetly to enable you to get a quick confidence boost when needed; for example, before getting up to do a talk or presentation.
They can also be used to add the all‐important feeling element to affirmations and visualisations, which we are covering later in this chapter.
