Selling Yourself as a Speaker
 
 
There are three factors to consider in any speaking situation:
■ The logistics.
■ What to do.
■ How to do it.
Many people waste an enormous amount of time and energy on negative thoughts, such as:
■ I never should have agreed to do it.
■ I’m going to bomb.
■ I’ll never have enough time to prepare.
■ I won’t be able to come up with a decent idea.
■ If I keep doing this, I’ll shorten my life by 20 years.
■ I wonder if I can cancel.
■ I’m not going to be able to sleep.
Stop it!
All you are doing is building a wall between you and a really good presentation.
