What happens when we make decisions?
Most of us think it’s quite straightforward. We’re asked ‘what do we think?’ so we sit down and look at the pros and cons of making decision A, B or C. We then, probably, consult a few colleagues. We assess the data. We may commission some original research. We consider a number of things about what the right decision is according to:
- the needs of the business;
- what our superiors and those who report to us will think;
- the probability of successful implementation;
- what we personally want and how each decision will make us look in the short and medium term and how it might affect our careers;
