How to do your bookkeeping without tears
You can look on keeping the books as a chore – or you can learn how keeping your finger on your business’ pulse can be both enjoyable and informative. One thing is certain; you cannot ignore the financial performance of your business.
Many people use a freelance bookkeeper to do their basic bookkeeping, calculate VAT returns and prepare the monthly payroll.
Others prefer to do these tasks themselves, recognising that it is not difficult to keep the books straight in a relatively uncomplicated start-up business. You may surprise yourself when you find out how little time it can take to do the paperwork if you start out with a good, simple system.
