Chapter 3. Create a Deployment Plan
Before deploying Network Node Manager (NNM) and OpenView Operations (OVO), a deployment plan should be created to determine what and how the products will be configured. The plan includes what and how much of the network is to be monitored, collection station layout and management domains, manager of managers configuration, the products required to instrument the network for monitoring, and more. A good plan can be used to create other plans for system testing and acceptance of the final system and system hardware configuration, high availability, and so on.
