Kernel Configuration
Your HP-UX kernel is a vitally important part of your HP-UX system that is often overlooked by HP-UX administrators. Perhaps this is because administrators are reluctant to tinker with such a critical and sensitive part of their system. Your HP-UX kernel, however, can have a big impact on system performance, so you want to be sure that you know how it is configured. This doesn't mean that you have to make a lot of experimental changes, but you should know how your kernel is currently configured so that you can assess the possible impact that changes to the kernel may have on your system.
