I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
5.2. Multipurpose Diagnostic Tools
Diagnostic tools provide a snapshot of system or subsystem behavior at particular moments. Although data from diagnostic tools can also be used to compare system activity over longer periods, the tools are designed primarily to provide current data.
Diagnostic tools are of many different types, some offering a general, multipurpose set of metrics covering many subsystems, others with more specialized uses. The most important multipurpose tools are GlancePlus/UX, GlancePlus/Motif, PerfView and sar. Also included in this group are time-related tools, such as uptime, time, and timex.
