Thermostat Installations
Specific differences exist when performing various thermostat installations. These differences contrast most sharply between legacy and intelligent thermostat types.
Legacy Thermostats
Regardless of whether the installation involves a single zone or a complete zoning system, the important considerations listed here should be followed for locating and mounting legacy thermostats.
Do not install legacy thermostats in the following locations:
In drafts, dead spots behind doors, or any corners where air simply does not move
Where they will be directly impacted by hot or cold air flowing ...
