Creating a Web Page by Using Word
If you already know how to use Word to create documents for print, you’ll find it easy to create Web pages in Word. All the same formatting techniques and commands apply, and you can even use Word’s Table feature to create a table-based layout—we explain how later in this chapter.
For best results, use the Style feature in Word to apply paragraph styles for headings. These heading styles will translate into HTML-style tags: a Heading 1 style becomes an <h1> tag, a Heading 2 style becomes <h2>, and so on. You can select styles from the Style list on the Formatting toolbar:
