Creating a Shared Navigation Bar

In Chapter 10, you learned how to create navigation bars by using standards-compliant HTML. FrontPage can create some fancier navigation bars than that, but to do so, it must rely on those aforementioned FrontPage server extensions being installed on the server on which you are hosting your page.

If you are sure your Web server has FrontPage extensions, you can use FrontPage’s navigation bar controls rather than building your own. The FrontPage navigation bars have many advantages. They can be formatted by applying a theme, and updates to the navigation structure are automatically reflected in the navigation bar, as you saw in the first exercise in this chapter.
