7. Transitions, Transforms, and Animation

You know you can use CSS to style your multimedia elements, but CSS3 provides some new and exciting additions. Using three of these new additions—transitions, transforms, and animation—you can create visual enhancements via CSS without the need for any fancy JavaScript. Because such features are considered presentational, it’s ideal that they’re part of CSS.

This chapter briefly introduces you to some of the aspects of CSS3 transitions, transforms, and animation. You’ll learn how to use and combine them to add dynamic effects to your layout.
