The Hudl is just the right size for reading. Its 7in screen is similar in size to a paperbook book, and its slim proportions make it ideal for slipping into a bag and sneaking in a few more pages of reading when you’re able to. The long battery life also helps.

Google has made it very easy to buy books to download from its own Play Store, but the beauty of the Android system is that it’s far from the only option. You can also buy books from your favourite online bookstores, and you may even be able to borrow books from your local library to read on your Hudl. You can also download books that are out of copyright for free from a website called Project Gutenberg (www.projectgutenberg.org).
