Work task design

Abstract

The field of work task design has been around over 100 years. This chapter considers causes of decreased work performance such as stress and administrative and engineering solutions that can be used to improve human performance. Particular consideration is given to reducing risks associated with human fatigue. Error proofing and human reliability analysis are also discussed.
