Chapter Five: Shared control for teleoperation
Abstract
In this chapter, shared control, which can facilitate tasks for human operators and improve the overall efficiency of teleoperation systems, is introduced. Then, five applications of shared control, namely collision avoidance control, EEG-based shared control, MR-based user interactive path planning, sEMG-based shared control, and APF-based hybrid shared control, are analyzed in detail. They make the manipulators or the mobile robots more intelligent and more easily controllable. Finally, several experiments using these applications are shown to validate their feasibility and robustness.
