There is a new feeling of optimism about the role and need for HR as a business partner. As a consultant I am fortunate to be able to speak with CEOs, CFOs, COOs on a regular basis; most are from well-known companies and are truly international. Their enthusiasm for HR is infectious—so why don’t we see HR at main Board meetings, in critical planning meetings at strategy formation committees?
