MEASURINGHR ALIGNMENT

THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK we have emphasized that for human resources legitimately to be considered a strategic asset, the HR architecture must be aligned with the requirements of the firm’s strategy implementation process. We’ve also developed an HR performance measurement system that helps organizations to manage this strategic asset and evaluate its contribution to overall firm success. This performance measurement system also requires an attention to alignment—first, to shift focus away from traditional operational measures to more strategic measures and, second, to develop alignment measures that might serve as leading indicators in your HR Scorecard.
