Abstract
The world was not well before the pandemic 2020/21. The knowledge society was being developed without social inclusion. Albeit some local efforts toward sustainability, the planet was being attacked in several dimensions with disastrous effects on the—but not limited to—the environment. Then came the terrible pandemic of 2020/21. What changed and what is likely to change in the near future in this new scenario? The meaning of an accelerated pace of change in the process of digital transformation is explained here.
