A Work Assignment Role-Play in Communicating with Dignity

This is a case study to demonstrate and discuss the role of dignity in a routine and common organizational situation, a supervisor assigning work. The primary lesson from this exercise will be to learn about the concept of dignity, its ten elements, and how it can be upheld or eroded in workplace interactions between people with a power difference in their roles. The setting is a college, where both undergraduate and graduate courses are taught.
