We’ve covered how to get the shots done, which types of pipelines and software combinations might be used, and how the use of camera might be addressed in each shot. We need to take a step back and spend this chapter going over some completed works and looking at the overall methods used.
This is a lovely story with a refreshing animation style that combines many of the methods you have learned in this book. There are SIGGRAPH papers presented about how they achieved the film and the tools created (http://siggraphencore.myshopify.com/products/2012-tk141). You can also read an article written by the director, John Kahrs: http://www.cgmeetup.net/home/the-making-of-paperman/.
