Realizing Benefits

While having a well-developed business case is useful for project or program justification, it is merely a tool for decision making. A process for benefits management is essential too (see Figure 8.1). In HybridP3M, this process, called realizing benefits, takes the right kind of proactive mindset. It is based on the business need of accomplishment, driving specific activity to ensure the success of a business case. After all, having a good business case is no guarantee for success as many things can go wrong.
