Unconventional Reservoir Development Footprints
Abstract
In this chapter environmental impacts and footprints of unconventional reservoir developments are discussed. Different thoughts on the possibility of induced manmade stresses due to hydraulic fracturing, wastewater deposition, and oil and gas production is presented. The discussions are then extended to different casing selections and wellbore integrity concerns while hydraulic fracturing. Next, interactions between hydraulic fracturing and aquifers and possible fault reactivations are outlined.
