Public Finance Management

Context

The previous chapters show that before colonialism, there was no public finance management in Nyasaland.

During colonial rule, the African Malawian was not exposed to finance management. The settlers, missionaries, and colonial administrators accounted to their foreign capitals from where their funding had come from. The African Malawian was not exposed to budgeting or accounting for the revenue and expenditures that were made in Nyasaland.
