The efficiency of worksharing under different sizes of fixed tasks

ABSTRACT: Generally, worksharing gives a lot of improvement to the throughput. On other hand, many factors can affect the amount of this improvement. Our focus is the effect of size of unshared work on that improvement. We study the worksharing in a serial production line. Various sizes of fixed tasks are tested to figure out this effect. In this case, the results of this study can be more close to and applied in the reality since it covers more potential situations. The applied worksharing policy is state dependent policy.
