A word about the Db2 HA instance configuration utility (db2haicu)

The Db2 high availability instance configuration utility (db2haicu) is an interactive, text-based utility you can use to configure and administer highly available databases in a clustered environment. This utility uses the TSA MP Cluster manager to configure a shared database instance.

The utility takes the database instance, cluster environment, and cluster manager as inputs and then configures the instance for high availability failover. The input can be supplied either in interactive mode or by using an XML input file. All the parameters to db2haicu are case-sensitive and must be in lowercase. The basic syntax is as follows:

db2haicu [-f XML-input-file][-disable][-delete ...
