IBM FlashCopy Space-Efficient (SE) is functionally not very different from the standard FlashCopy. The concept of Track-Space-Efficient (TSE) volumes with FlashCopy SE relates to the attributes or properties of a DS8000 volume.
FlashCopy SE can coexist with standard FlashCopy. This chapter describes the setup and usage of FlashCopy SE.
