Performance planning tools
This chapter describes Disk Magic and the Storage Tier Advisor Tool (STAT), which you can use for DS8000 capacity and performance planning. Disk Magic is a disk performance and capacity modeling tool that is provided by IntelliMagic. It is available for both z Systems and Open Systems. The STAT is a powerful reporting tool that provides a graphical representation of performance data that is collected by Easy Tier.
