CHPID assignment and CHPID mapping tool

In previous generations of servers, the Channel Path Identifier (CHPID) assignments were fixed and could not be changed. System z servers allow you to assign the CHPID number for any feature on the server that would have a CHPID number associated with it. The latest level of the CHPID mapping tool is available to support System z mapping. The CHPID assignment functions are described in this appendix.
