Chapter 10. Type-based HTML
Information Management for z/OS provides the ability to display different panels for different
types of problems, changes, and so forth. For example, some of the panels in a problem
record are the same, while others may be different based on the value entered into a
designated field (usually the problem type field). Software problem records have a unique
panel with fields pertinent to software problems, and hardware problem records have a
unique panel with fields pertinent to hardware problems, and so forth. This technique is often
referred to as
nested panels, or may be part of a conditionally required fields scheme.
Web Access also provides this capability. The HTML displayed to a user can vary based on
the value entered into the type field. Web Access is restricted in that only the type field (data
attribute record with S0C09) may be used to determine what HTML to display.
