It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6. Server Configuration
This chapter covers a number of key areas and topics that are crucial to the administration and functioning of WAS and its deployed applications. Among others, we will look into topics like logging and class loading, and explain the several levels of class-loader settings available to your application server and applications.
In this chapter, we will cover:
- WAS file structure
- XML configuration files
- Logs and trace
- NSCA and the HTTP logging feature
- High Performance Extensible Logging (HPEL)
- Java Virtual Machine (JVM) settings
