Chapter 2. J2EE Applications
In the last chapter, we introduced the purpose of this book and its intended audience. We also introduced WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and the different editions of WAS. In this chapter, we introduce the type of applications that run inside the WAS platform; specifically, we will talk about the J2EE platform as well as how applications are packaged for J2EE.
