JMS in WebSphere Application Server
WebSphere Application Server has strong support for JMS. In addition to providing its own embedded JMS server, WAS can be easily configured to support higher-end messaging systems such as WebSphere MQ or WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) Message Broker. Furthermore, any messaging provider that supports the JMS contract can be configured to work with WAS. A messaging system that implements the JMS API is known as a JMS provider. Once a provider is configured, JMS resources can be defined in much the same way to support applications that use JMS and Message Driven Beans.
