Custom MBeans in WAS

While WAS V5 has been instrumented with a large number of MBeans, and these should be more than sufficient for administering WAS itself, there may be cases where you have a new application that you wish to add custom administrative capabilities to, or you may have a requirement to integrate WAS with an existing systems management infrastructure. If so, you may need to write your own custom MBeans and deploy them in WAS. As mentioned before, we're not going to cover the MBean programming model.
