Namespace

In WAS-ND V5, there is a single logical namespace across a cell, which is implemented as a distributed namespace with a CORBA CosNaming server running in the deployment manager, node agent, and Server processes. As a result, most applications read from an application server image[8] of the namespace, which consists of persistent elements that are read upon server startup from the local XML document-based configuration repository, as well as transient namespace elements that are programmatically bound. Since lookup operations are performed locally by the name server running in an application server, no support is required from the deployment manager or the node agent.
