Performance Advisor

In WAS V5, there are two new mechanisms that actually provide performance tuning advice. The Performance Advisor in the Tivoli Performance Viewer is the first; the Runtime Performance Advisor is the second.

The Performance Advisor object in the Tivoli Performance Viewer can be seen in both Figures 25-9 and 25-10. Using the Performance Advisor is very easy:

Enable the Performance Monitoring Service in the application server and the Node Agent if running ND.[9]
