9.6 Validation task for WebSphere Portal
The best way to verify that WebSphere Portal has been installed and is working
properly is to launch WebSphere Portal.
1. To launch WebSphere Portal, you must have all required servers running. If
you are using a database other than Cloudscape, an LDAP server, or an
external Web server, ensure that those servers are running. Also ensure that
WebSphere Application Server is running and that the WebSphere_Portal
enterprise application has been started.
