Network Deployment Administration

In the Base Application Server package, the administrative client programs attach directly to the server process and send administrative requests to that single process. In a Network Deployment environment, there are several special administrative processes, and the administrative client programs can attach to any point in the topology (Deployment Manager, node agent, or managed process). Generally, administrative clients attach to the Deployment Manager because all servers throughout the cell can be controlled from that process. When a request for an MBean operation is submitted to the Deployment Manager, it is automatically routed to the server on which the target run-time component is executing.
