Administrative Console Overview
The console (see Figure 4.1) was designed so that systems management tasks for all aspects of managing the server environment could be made available to systems administrators using standard Web browser technology. The console was also built to be flexible because the tasks provided to administrators vary by WebSphere server product (Base, Network Deployment, or Express edition) as well as by platform (non-z/OS platforms and z/OS).
