Introduction
The IBM System z Personal Development Tool (zPDT) provides an environment with one or more IBM System z processors (with several emulated I/O device types), based on a personal computer Linux environment. As the name implies, it is intended for development and related purposes, such as education and demonstrations. It lacks the reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS), security, and the flexibility of a larger System z machine. zPDT is not licensed for production use.
