I HAD BEEN ON TOP OF THE WORLD. My husband and I have always enjoyed hiking, and climbing to the summit of mountains has always held a particular attraction, so regardless of the continent, when the two of us are together it is mountains rather than cities that we visit. This last expedition, the one that put us on top of Mount Kilimanjaro, had been an unforgettable trip that had pushed us to new feelings.
