SELF-AWARENESS

Throughout our lives we develop a notion of self that defines us through our roles, credentials, and occupation and that is couched in our values, principles, and beliefs. This is the part of the self that deals with the positions we take and the decisions we make on a daily basis, a part of the self familiar to us. Through conditioning from our life experience, this part of the self reacts with the emotion of the moment—urgency, delight, indignation, anger. It is the aggregate of these reactions that we have come to identify as our self, the external expression.
