Chapter 3

Getting Your Memories into the Digital Darkroom

Once your photos are in iPhoto, the fun really begins. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to import your photos into iPhoto so you can get started editing and enhancing them to make them even more picture perfect.

Drag and Drop

The easiest way to get a photo into iPhoto is to drag it from your computer into the iPhoto window. Simply click and hold your mouse button on the photo and move it over the words Event or Photo. Your photo will now appear in the large area next to the source list.

NOTE: You can also add your home videos to iPhoto. This is helpful because other iLife apps can find and use them when they are in the iPhoto Library.
