Chapter 17. Create type

This chapter is an introduction to Illustrator’s type tools. First you’ll learn how to create point type, type in a rectangle, area type (inside an object), and type along a path. Then you’ll learn how to rotate type, import type from another application, thread type between objects, copy type and a type object, and convert type into graphic outlines. In the next chapter, you’ll learn how to select type and change its typographic attributes.
