Chapter 18. Style & Edit Type

In this chapter, you’ll learn how to select type for editing. Then you’ll learn how to use the Character and Control panels to apply typographic attributes, such as a font, point size, and leading; the Glyphs and OpenType panels to insert special characters; the Paragraph panel to apply paragraph formats, such as alignment and indentation; and the Paragraph Styles and Character Styles panels to apply collections of attributes quickly. At the end of the chapter, you’ll choose area type options, hang punctuation, set tabs, wrap type around an object, and perform a few practice exercises.
